FAQ for STUDENTS and INTERNSHIP SEEKERS
Open Talent Network is free for all talents/job seekers to search and apply for a job. It is also free for employers to post job vacancies. For more information, see “How to Apply for a Job? and “How to Post a Job?”.
To create an account on Open Talent Network, go to the Sign Up page and enter your email address and password. You can access the Sign Up page via ‘Login’ on the Homepage. You can register for an Open Talent Network account directly through Microsoft or Google account. Click “Sign up with Microsoft” or “Sign up with Google” on the Sign Up page.
You will receive a verification email from Open Talent Network when you set up an account. If you do not see the email in your inbox, please check your junk mail just in case it went there by mistake. If you did not receive our confirmation email, you could manually request to have it resent through the “Email Confirmation” page. Enter your email address and click to submit the form, and an email confirmation will be sent to you.
When creating your profile on the platform, you must include relevant personal details, educational background, and available date, and upload your resume. You may also have your achievement, work experience, and other information showcasing your qualifications and making you stand out as a potential talent.
In your Open Talent Network account, you can manage your job alerts, save the job listing you are interested in, and update your email address and password. Sign in to your account and go to your profile to access and update your account details.
To find job placement opportunities, enter your search query and desired location in the search bar and click “Search”. After you click the “Search”, you will see a list of job placements that meet your search criteria.
Our platform has search filters allowing you to customize your job placement preferences. You can set parameters such as keyword, location, and job specialization to tailor the search results to your requirements.
Our platform has search options to filter internships by location to find opportunities near you. To find job opportunities, enter your desired location in the search bar and click “Search”. Once you initiate the search, a list of placements that align with your requirement will be displayed.
We have a verification process to validate companies’ identities and legitimacy before allowing them to post job advertisements. The verification process includes verifying company registration details, contact information, and other relevant credentials.
To find out if a company offers an allowance, review the company’s job advertisements for any indications of allowances.
You can apply for an job placement by completing a simple form or submitting a resume. The accepted file formats for the resume are pdf, doc, docx, txt, html, and htm. You can reuse the same resume for multiple applications if you have an account with us. You can apply from the employer’s website if you are an international talent.
If you’re not quite ready to apply, you can find the “Save” next to “Apply” located at the upper-left corner of each job page. You can click “Save” on the search results page next to any role you are interested in. You can find the saved job listing by clicking “Profile” and “My Saved Jobs”. If you don’t yet have an account, you will be prompted to make an account to use this handy feature.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date details about a specific vacancy, you can contact the company or the hiring manager using the contact details they have provided on the listing. Most of the job advertisements will redirect you to the appropriate website. We list all the available job advertisements on our platform, but we do not take ownership of them, nor are we a part of the application process.
You can visit the company website to gather more information or use professional networking platforms (e.g., LinkedIn) to explore the company’s profile. To gain insights into the company’s achievements, partnerships, and recent developments, you can research online to discover the latest news articles, press releases, or industry publications related to the company.
As a platform for job placements, we do not engage in blacklisting any company. You can visit the university’s relevant department o inquire about any official listings or databases of blacklisted companies.
You can check the job advertisement or the company’s website for any provided contact details. If you are unable to find direct contact information, you may try reaching out through LinkedIn.
After submitting your application through the platform, it will be forwarded to the employer for review. The employer will then evaluate your application and may contact you for further steps, such as interviews or additional assessments.
After you have applied for a job on our platform, you can conveniently track your application status under your profile. The application status displayed may vary depending on the processing behavior of each employer.
The duration takes to receive a response from potential employers can vary. Some employers may respond within a few days, while others may take several weeks. If you haven’t received a response within a reasonable timeframe, it is generally acceptable to explore other opportunities.
Upon being selected for a job placement, you will be notified by the employer via either a phone call or an email to inform you of your successful selection. You will have the option to accept or decline the job offer. You can communicate your decision to the employer in written form.
It is possible to reject an job offer if you have decided that it does not fit your current requirements. Practice professionalism and communicate your decision promptly and clearly to the employer, expressing your appreciation for the offer and explaining your reasons for declining.
If your circumstances have significantly changed since you declined the offer, it is possible to contact the employer to express your continued interest in the job. Provide a detailed explanation for your initial decline and emphasize your genuine interest in the job.
If any conflicts arise during the job, we encourage open communication to address and resolve them. We strongly encourage talents to engage in constructive dialogue with the company to understand each other’s perspectives and seek mutually advantageous resolutions. Talents are advised to contact their educational institution for assistance in case of persistent conflicts.
If you find abusive or fraudulent job advertisements, please message us via the “Contact Form” with the link. We will remove that particular advertisement immediately. Suppose you cannot find a job advertisement that was published on our website. It may be because we have manually removed it from our system, or the original publisher of the advertisement has removed it. In any case, we cannot provide you with the job advertisement details, and you may have to contact the company directly.
You can quickly reset your password by navigating to “Forgot your password?” and filling out the email textbox. After submitting the email address, you will receive an email with a link to reset your password.
You can delete your account by signing in to your Account Page. Follow these steps:
- Click the Delete account link.
- Enter “Delete” to proceed.
- You will see a confirmation window. If you are sure that you would like to proceed, click on “Delete”. Please note that this is an irreversible action and cannot be undone.
